About Pete

Pete Kontaxes and his wife Patricia, who recently passed away, have 4 children and seven grandchildren, which are spread out in different states. He grew up in a populated area of South West Pennsylvania in an area of mine and mill towns and small farms. At a young age he would watch westerns and longed for the day he could own a horse and hunt and fish in the Rocky Mountains. When he was 10 his parents moved from town to a 125-acre farm where he quickly learned at a young age to make hay and run a variety of farm machinery while his father worked long hours in the steel mill. After graduation from high school he attended California State University of Pennsylvania and graduated majoring in Physics and certified to teach Math, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physical science. After a long and successful teaching career in the state of Pennsylvania he started a second career as a physics teacher at Laramie High School. During his teaching career he also worked in home construction and roofing during the summer months. As your realtor I will competently guide you through the process and look out for your interests whether you be a client selling or a customer purchasing real-estate. Purchasing or selling a home will be one of the biggest transactions that most people will make in their lifetimes and I will work for you and with you to help you make an informed decision in one of the biggest investments you will likely make in your lifetime. And yes, I now owns horses and often ride, hunt and fish the mountains all around the Laramie area.
