About Julie
I started my real estate career in 2004 in Nevada. At that time the market was in the acceleration phase where home prices surged and the median home price surpassed the $200,000 threshold. As a new agent I learned quickly how to get creative in winning offers and getting accepted offers through negotiation. Learning that skill was an important part of my growth as an agent. In 2005 speculative buying really got ramped up as home prices continued to rise. Lenders were issuing subprime loans in order to keep up their volume. The result was many buyers who wouldn't normally qualify for a mortgage were now entering the market. As an agent I learned how to stay focused, organized and consistent in monitoring my contracts to ensure no deadlines were missed. I also realized that every client's home buying journey is a little bit different. As a real estate professional it's became important to me that I show every client I was listening, understanding their needs and fully invested in their successful close. In 2007 I decided to leave real estate sales due to the Great Recession and returned to my career in accounting where I spent almost 20 years working for primarily construction and service companies as an accountant, Accounts Payable manager, and my favorite position, a Payroll Specialist. Believe it or not, being in control of the payroll process is A LOT like being in charge of making sure a client's real estate contract closes on time: Processing payroll correctly and on time = a successful real estate sales close :) I am now ready to shift gears back into real estate where I can do something that is good for my heart and that I enjoy so much. I grew up in Janesville and left in 1985 to enter the US Army where I learned loyalty, adaptability and discipline. But the most important thing I learned was accountability: Accountable to my unit (client). And accountable to myself. These core traits continue to be the foundation of everything I do. If I decide to commit my efforts to helping someone solve a problem, I follow through... To the end. I am dedicated to every client I represent from the start of the home buying / selling process no matter many homes I show them, how many offers I must present before an acceptance, or how many obstacles we encounter along the way until all parties to the contract are satisfied and the deal is closed. And then you will have a friend for life :)
