About Kathy

Kathy Schofield is a Licensed Principal Broker in Northern Virginia with a Master’s in Business and Finance. She is a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®), a distinction held by fewer than 1% of real estate professionals nationwide. With 35+ years in real estate and 20+ in relocation, Kathy is a recognized leader in both residential and corporate real estate. Real estate is part of her family legacy. Her immigrant mother, one of the first female brokers in the region, required all five children to earn real estate licenses before getting driver’s licenses. That tradition of service is now Summit’s guiding philosophy: Family Serving Families. Kathy began her career overseas. After five years abroad, she returned to Northern Virginia, bringing a global perspective and client-first approach that quickly set her apart. As President of Summit Relocation Services, Inc., Kathy has overseen more than 2,000 relocations for Fortune 100 and 500 clients including Columbia Energy, NiSource, HGSI, and Hydro Aluminum. Previous roles include Relocation Manager for MCI and Move Manager for PHH, HFS, and Cendant (now Cartus). Her greatest joy, beyond professional success, has been raising her son and adopting three children. Family and service remain central to her life and Summit’s culture.
