About Ellen

Ellen grew up in Northampton, Pennsylvania (near Allentown). She met and married a Navy guy in 1995 who whisked her away from her clan and transformed her into a Navy spouse. Through the years, she has endured permanent change of station (PCS) transfers in and out of the United States. Life without her husband was normal during his 22-year career in the Navy. During these long separations, Ellen continued a healthy routine for their son and daughter. She would routinely plan home projects to pass the time in a productive manner. The husband affectionately calls her "The Handyman of the House" because of her "can do" attitude and ability to seemingly do anything she puts her mind to (even minor car repairs). After the husband's retirement from the Navy in 2016, they decided to remain in the Tidewater area, where they live in the Oceanview area of Norfolk with their two dogs. Ellen's strong work ethic, creativity and dedication are characteristics you get with her as your agent. She transitioned into real estate from a career in Dental Hygiene. She has held leadership roles in church, schools and neighborhood home owner's association. Strong patriotism and service to others is a strong calling in the family as her son serves in the Air Force and daughter is in a pre-veterinary program at Virginia Tech. Ellen's hobbies include cooking, decorating, crafts, relaxing at the beach and socializing with friends.
