About Dory Tucker

Dory Tucker Doyle is a licensed Realtor® serving buyers and sellers throughout Charlottesville, Albemarle, and the surrounding counties. A Charlottesville native, she attended St. Anne’s-Belfield and Albemarle High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Virginia Tech and a Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia. She brings a background in education, theater, and a friendly, personal touch to every client relationship — translating complexity into clarity and making sure everyone feels supported in the process. Before entering real estate, Dory spent years teaching in public schools and working with homeschooling families across Virginia. That experience sharpened what has always come naturally to her: listening carefully, explaining things until they actually make sense, and advocating confidently for the people she serves. Real estate has been part of Dory’s world for as long as she can remember. She grew up in the halls of what is now Tucker Griffin Barnes, her father Bill Tucker’s well-known local law firm. Her first conference room was a closet in her dad’s office, and her first clients were puppets and stuffed animals. Her brother spent nearly two decades building a real estate career in this same market. After moving back to the area with her husband and kids, she was ready to begin her career in real estate as well. Outside of work, Dory homeschools her twins, serves on the executive board of Camp Albemarle alongside her father, and stays deeply involved in local theater — both onstage and backstage, designing, building, and painting sets alongside her husband for the productions in which her family performs.
