Mark Overdevest is a Tier 1 Associate Broker at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, bringing 22 years of experience to the Salt Lake City luxury market. A former NCAA Division I athlete at the University of Notre Dame, Mark earned his degree in Finance before beginning his career in investment banking. Drawn westward by the allure of the mountains, he transitioned from launching a boutique property management firm to building a thriving career in real estate. Together with his sister and business partner, Jenny Overdevest, Mark is the co-founder and principal of the MORE Group. Their partnership harmonizes Jenny’s mastery of marketing and public relations with Mark’s financial and real estate expertise. In 2020, they aligned their team with Sotheby’s International Realty, compelled by its storied legacy and position as the premier global authority in luxury real estate. In 2025, Mark and Jenny represented the landmark sale of Elysium, a Guy Dreier–designed architectural masterpiece—now the highest-priced residential estate ever sold in Salt Lake County. The sale stands as a reflection of the MORE Group’s visionary marketing, refined negotiation, and the worldwide reach of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand. Mark resides on the East Bench with his wife, son, and their beloved pug mix, and formerly served as Vice Chair of the East Bench Community Council. With a deep appreciation for extraordinary architecture, privacy, and sweeping views, Mark possesses an intuitive understanding of what makes a residence truly unique. He is adept at articulating these nuances to discerning buyers and negotiating confidently at the highest levels to achieve record-setting results. An adventurer at heart, Mark has climbed extensively, including a self-guided summit of Denali in 2008 and a sub–24-hour ascent of El Capitan in 2018. His pursuits later led him to paragliding across the Mountain West, the French Alps, and the Himalaya before settling into family life. His current passion project is Valo Refuge, a creekside wellness retreat in Huntsville grounded in yoga, mindfulness, and sauna—an expression of his belief in the healing power of nature and thoughtfully designed spaces. Beyond accolades and record sales, Mark and Jenny believe that success carries an obligation to give back. Through Give MORE, Mark donates generously to local organizations including Best Friends Animal Society, Fit to Recover, the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance, and the many causes supported through the Sotheby’s Cares Foundation. Mark has also served on the board of Fit to Recover, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives through community, fitness, and healthy living.
