MilHousing Realty Group is the home team for the national real estate platform for military family relocation, MilHousing Network. Co-Owner of MilHousing Network, Karina Gafford is a military spouse of over a decade who has PCS-ed 7 times with her husband before he retired in San Antonio. Having relocated overseas 5 times prior to becoming a military spouse, she inherently understands the challenges associated with relocation, and moreso the unique situations that military families face when making home buying and selling decisions. Karina's experiences make her an expert on VA loans and military family home buying and selling. As a result, MilHousing Realty Group's team of marketers, agents, and administrative support are all trained in providing this expert level of service to their clients to make sure their PCS experience is second to none!  Prior to MilHousing Realty Group, Karina's real estate background includes personal real estate investments, luxury real estate marketing in Northern Virginia, writing about the real estate industry for military families for national markets for websites such as MilitaryByOwner, Army Wife Network, and Military Spouse Magazine, and tutoring students in the Graduate program for Real Estate at Georgetown University. Karina previously served on the board of the national chapter of the Air Force Officer Wives' Club and on the board for the Annual Air Force Charity Ball for two years, helping raise over 1 million dollars for wounded warriors. As the spouse of a wounded warrior, Karina has a personal mission to help combat the high rates of military spouse unemployment (26% in 2016) to help build stronger, more resilient military families through financial empowerment. MilHousing Realty Group, Karina's venture with business partner and fellow military spouse, Lindsey Litton, further serves to help serve that mission as the company helps connect military families with military spouse Realtors across the country. When not working, Karina can be found hiking the trails in San Antonio, exploring the many phenomenal coffee shops and playgrounds in the city with her husband, Charlie, and their two young sons, at their home in Helotes, or on the beautiful beaches of 30A in Florida, her home away from home!  Honors BA - Rollins College MA with Honors - Winthrop University Masters Certificate in Management - Cornell University
