About Cheryl

My name is Cheryl Nelson and I am a Realtor consultant with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services – Anderson Properties. I have been a resident of the Katy area going on 35 years. My husband’s family was one of the original rice farmers on the Katy prairie. I have 5 sons and 1 daughter, all grown and three precious granddaughters and a grandson. I was born and raised in the West Houston area and am a fourth generation Houstonian.My real estate specialty is country properties. I enjoy gathering information from the land owners and usually learn a lot of history about the land as well as family history along the way. It is not unusual to find me driving around the back roads between Matagorda and Livingston or Katy and Waelder in search of properties for sale that might be of interest to my clients. I also try to learn as much as I can about the rural school districts, community information, governmental information, service providers or whatever I believe might be of help to my clients. I also enjoy working with First Time Homebuyers. When working with folks that have never owned a home before, I think about my kids and how I would want someone to treat them. I will take as much time as necessary to explain every step of what is involved in buying a home.Some of my personal goals are to provide quality customer service to my clients. No question is a dumb question! There is always an important reason as to why a client would ask a question.
