About Ryan

After serving his community in law enforcement for 28 years with a municipal police department outside Denver, Colorado, Ryan began the next chapter of his life in the Black Hills of South Dakota. For many years, Ryan, his wife of more than 28 years, and their two children visited the Black Hills and felt drawn to the area's natural beauty, strong sense of community, family values, and slower pace of life. Each visit reinforced what they already knew—the Black Hills was where they wanted to build the next chapter of their lives. Following retirement in 2025, Ryan and his wife relocated to the Rapid City area. They arrived in the Black Hills during the winter months and quickly discovered that the timing of the market can significantly impact the home search process. They rented temporarily while exploring communities throughout the region, from Spearfish to Hot Springs, searching for the right home and neighborhood to call their own. That experience gave Ryan firsthand insight into the emotions, challenges, and decisions that often accompany relocation, retirement, downsizing, and major life transitions. It also provided him with a unique appreciation for the many communities, neighborhoods, and lifestyles that make the Black Hills such a special place to live. Throughout his law enforcement career, Ryan developed skills in communication, negotiation, attention to detail, problem-solving, and helping people navigate difficult situations with confidence and clarity. Today, he brings those same skills and commitment to service to his real estate clients.
