About Karen

A true native with ancestors dating back to the 1700's in the Socastee area, Karen has had the pleasure of living and working in the Grand Strand area for most of her life. She made Horry County her permanent home more than 30 years ago. Although SC has always been 'home', Karen has resided throughout the southeast. She began her real estate career after many years as a local business owner.  Her other business, laissez-faire landscapes, inc., was involved in every aspect of landscaping, from designing & redesigning, to installation of plant material & irrigation systems, to cultural management. Though it is not easy, there is great satisfaction in creating a beautiful landscape. It is equally satisfying to assist clients in the buying and selling of homes, although this too, is not always easy. Karen works with buyers, sellers and investors seeking primary residences, second/vacation homes and investment/rental properties. She will guide you seamlessly through your real estate transaction process, where you can be assured of representation from the first meeting, through negotiations, the escrow process, closing, and thereafter. Karen is continually working to sharpen her marketing, social media, negotiation and communication skills. In her leisure time, Karen pursues a more sustainable environment, gardening, and raising chickens.
