It all started with my wife, she’s a wild one. Many years ago, I came home from personal training (my gig at the time), and she casually mentioned she had just bought a house. I asked for clarification, and she repeated, “I just bought a house.” After running that by me one more time, I realized, she really had bought a house. And just like that, we were thrown headfirst into real estate, rehabbing and flipping our first property. We went on to do several more flips, and things were going great…until the fall of 2017. That’s when we lost over $75,000 on one flip. It was a humbling season that forced us to rethink our path. Out of that setback, The Smart Move Group was born, the day we shifted from flipping houses to helping families buy and sell their dream homes. It wasn’t as flashy, but it was far more stable and fulfilling. As the years went by, we built a team; though admittedly, I only managed to keep 1 out of every 5 people I hired (turns out my “superpower” is loving everyone and assuming they’re perfect!). But through the ups and downs, our team grew. By 2020, we were honored to be named one of the top teams in Keller Williams. We’re still learning, growing, and grateful for the journey.
