About Barbara

Barb Treacy is a real estate professional in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, and a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors. Barb moved to Myrtle Beach from Chicago in 2009, drawn by the 60 miles of beautiful beaches of the" Grand Strand", the 100+ excellent golf courses, as well as average high temperatures in the mid-70's! Born and raised in Chicago, Barb is a graduate of St. Norbert College, DePere, Wisconsin, where she obtained a BA in Communications. She spent over 20 years in sales, marketing, and advertising, working for such companies as Miller Brewing Company (MillerCoors), DDB Needham, and Frankel. She left the corporate world to follow her passion for teaching, which she did in Myrtle Beach for over 7 years. While teaching is still a passion, Barb also wanted to follow another one of the joys in her life – real estate! In 2015 Barb started in real estate part-time, while teaching middle school full-time. However, in 2017, Barb made the move full-time to real estate and is loving every minute of it. Working for REMAX Southern Shores, the number one real estate agency on the Grand Stand, has been a true blessing.
