Born and raised in Massachusetts, Ben Wood developed a deep connection to the ocean on the shores of Cape Cod, where he also learned the value of hard work from his parents while growing up around their successful waterfront seasonal business. Those early years shaped both his work ethic and his appreciation for coastal communities. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in film, Ben spent several years traveling across the United States, exploring both the East and West Coasts. That time on the road strengthened his respect for place, people, and the unique rhythms that define great coastal markets. While living in Southern California, Ben was introduced to small business ownership and developed a passion for local cuisine, hospitality, and service-driven enterprises. Upon returning to the East Coast, he launched his first business at just 24 years old. What began as a single venture grew into a diversified hospitality portfolio, including a successful farm-to-table catering company that highlighted Rhode Island’s agricultural community. Ben’s work earned multiple Best of Rhode Island awards as well as recognition as a Forty Under Forty honoree. Today, Ben brings that same entrepreneurial mindset, operational experience, and negotiation skillset to real estate. As a residential and commercial specialist, he advises clients on coastal homes, multifamily assets, mixed-use properties, and investment opportunities throughout Rhode Island. His background as a business owner allows him to evaluate properties beyond the surface — understanding cash flow, risk, upside, and long-term value. Ben lives in South County, Rhode Island, where he spends his time surfing in Narragansett, training in martial arts, staying active, and enjoying life with his wife Jessica and their two sons, Eli and Brody. Family and community remain central to everything he does.
