About Kathryn

Community Involvement I love to volunteer in the community and feel it is important to stay involved in the community where I live and work. I have volunteered as a Board of Director for several non-profits over the last 15 years and for several local church programs. In Regent Square, I served as volunteer for the Run Around the Square and then fell in love with the race and the community. I then served as the President of the Run Around the Square for 5 years, this is a wonderful community race in Regent Square, the funds raised go back to Regent Square and surrounding communities. It brings the community members and the local businesses in the area to support local non-profits. Serving as a board member for the Regent Square Civic Association, which supports bringing in new traffic and parking patterns, building a walker friendly business district, helped bring the neighborhood into the spotlight. They now have a beautiful walking area and thriving business district. In addition, I have served on an advisory team at Mother of Sorrows Parish in Murrysville and as a core group member for Madonna Del Castello's Parish Prayer and Praise team. I have volunteered at St. Bede as a PTO Member and St Bernadette as a Committee chair for several events. Education and Training I also have a drive for education and teaching. I graduated from Franklin Regional High schools and attended California University. While I was there, I joined Phi Sigma Simga sisterhood. I left in my Sophomore year to attend Robert Morris University and work as a Realtor while I finished my Bachelors of Science in Management and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership. From there I worked as an independent contractor in Adult Education and Training. I also went back to a Masters program taking classes in Human Resource Management and Business Development while I taught college level courses in Management and Software systems for over 10 years at DeVry University and LaRoche College. I use all those skills as Realtor today. Personal Background I was raised in Murrysville, I was exposed to Real Estate at a very young age working as a part time secretary for T and R Real Estate through college working as an agent for 4 years. I helped with sales and property management. After teaching technology and business for many years, I decided get my license for a second time and work in sales and property management again.
