I have a passion for real estate and that shines through in my own personal real estate experiences as well. My husband and I bought our first home in 2007. It was a cute 1918 cottage in Vancouver. While adorable, it wasn't a great choice for our lifestyle. We soon after bought a brand new townhouse in the Pearl District on the waterfront. A fun, hip place for a young couple to live! Once we had children we decided that it was time to move to the country and buy some land. I had grown up in the country and I wanted to get back to my roots. We found a beautiful 100 year old farmhouse on 10 acres in Scappoose and fell in love! The house needed a lot of work so we had to get a rehab loan in order to make it habitable. We poured our hearts and souls into that farm but our growing family needed a bigger space and we didn't have the heart to change the home's natural character by adding on. We searched and searched for a home that was large enough for us and was also on usable acreage so we could continue our hobby farm. It was pretty much impossible to find exactly what we were looking for so we decided that we would have to create it ourselves. We ended up purchasing 5 acres in Scappoose and building our dream home! It wasn't easy but it gave us exactly what we were looking for and all of our hard work has paid off. I love using my knowledge and expertise from my own personal experiences to help my clients make their own dream homes a reality!
