About Sheri

Originally from Maryland, Sheri Shaughness relocated to Fort Mill, SC, in 1998. She's an agile leader with over a decades worth of experience in corporate finance. Sheri spent eight years working for small businesses, growing them through her skills in human resources, marketing, and sales. Sheri is dedicated to her community and contributes her time and spirit to a range of grassroots organizations. She is an elected Elder at Grace Presbyterian Church, and worked with a diverse group to steer the budget and initiatives of the church. When her own children were young, Sheri organized and implemented a licensed daycare and continuing education program out of her home. Active in the parents organization at her kids school, she helped found Students Thinking of Other People, or STOP, an initiative to foster students civility and citizenship. Sheri volunteers for a number of charitable committees, including Christmas International House, Angel Tree, and the Thornwell Home for Children. Sheri is a creative and resourceful champion for animals as well as children. She fosters homeless dogs through various organizations in the area and transforms them from unwanted animals to loving, adoptable companions. Sheri and her husband Mike have three wonderful children who attend Clemson, USC and Banks Trail Middle School, respectively. She has an eye for design and decoration, and loves cooking for her family and friends, exercising, and reading. Her philosophy is to make the most of the dash between the dates of her lifetime and to leave the world a better place. With over 20 years of living in the area, she is able to provide a strong knowledge base of neighborhoods and school systems.
