Years of Experience Specializing in Your Home I am an experienced real estate consultant working with home buyers, sellers and investors in the greater Charlotte, NC, area. I will guide you through the buying or selling process, help you locate schools, provide neighborhood and community information, act as your representative, gathering whatever information is needed to assure a successful sale or purchase. I began a career in real estate quite by accident some 30 years ago. With an undergraduate degree in French, and minors in German and education from Millikin University in Illinois, and a Masters Degree in French from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, I began a career in teaching, first at Bowling Green University in Ohio, followed by Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky, and then Queens College and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, where we relocated when my husband joined the faculty at UNCC. While teaching part-time at CPCC, I enrolled in a real estate course before buying our first home. It must have been fate - because that was the first year that the NC Real Estate Commission moved the licensing exam to Charlotte. I passed the Broker's exam with no plans to be an active broker, but when a fellow Montessori School parent opened a new real estate company, I began a temporary job that became a lifelong career. Brokering real estate has translated well from the skills acquired in my former profession - and from my foreign language background. Listening, communicating, researching, and negotiating - translating buyers' and sellers' needs into successful home sales and purchases has been a natural transition from teaching and translating.
