Marion Fleetwood Gatling grew up in Northampton County, North Carolina and was the eldest of ten children. As the eldest of my siblings, I fixed lunches, kissed bumps and bruises and even changed a diaper or two. You may call me a caretaker, but I just call it on-the-job training for life. Though my siblings have grown up and they have children of their own, I am still taking care of people. My husband and I have four grown children, 14 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren, my church family and I have a whole new group of family members to attend to … My Clients. Twenty years ago, when my sister was moving from New York to North Carolina, I experienced firsthand how tough the real estate process can be. I acted as the liaison between my sister and the real estate agent, and I could not believe just how stressful the process was. I saw the toll it took on my sister and it just did not add up. “Buying a home should not be so stressful. It should be an exciting step in someone’s life – a time to celebrate.” This experience led me to want to be part of the solution … so, I became a REALTOR. I am a life-long North Carolina resident and has been selling homes in the Triangle and other areas over a couple decades, so I know the area and the people that make it up. My familiarity with the area and my real estate expertise allow my clients to enjoy the excitement of buying or selling a home. Along with my Tar Heel savvy, I bring an intricate understanding of the financial side of real estate sales. Before going into the real estate field, I was the Finance Director for a North Carolina school system and was the Accounts Receivable Manager for a Raleigh home health care provider. I have spent much of my adult life managing dollars, cents and working with people, So I will be sure you get the best deal along with a seamless transaction! Like a Mom wants to take worry off her child’s mind, I want to shoulder the burden of stress during the home buying or selling process.
