I'm a licensed real estate broker in Rochester, New York, and most of my work is with people buying their first home. I've taught homebuyer classes here since 2009, and more than 2,000 people have come through them. I keep teaching because of a pattern I see constantly: the buyers who struggle usually aren't short on income. They're short on information — nobody has told them what lenders actually look at, in what order, and why it matters. I also represent buyers and sellers across the Rochester market, and work with investors and commercial and rental property owners. The classes stay open to anyone, whether they end up working with me or not.
