About Talia

Talia left a career in advertising for real estate in 2005 and is now the Owner and Qualifying Broker of Talia Freedman and Co., a boutique real estate company specializing in residential real estate in the Greater Albuquerque Area. A Native New Yorker, Talia came to New Mexico from the crowded streets of Manhattan to attend the University of New Mexico and graduated with a BFA in drawing and printmaking. She jokes she is the only art student in history who never took a painting class. As with all things, she tackles both real estate and teaching with energy and insight. Her varied professional experience gives her a unique perspective and a holistic approach to business, leadership, and community alike. Deeply committed to the integrity of the real estate profession, Talia serves on the Grievance Committee at the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR) and the Forms Committee at the New Mexico Association of Realtors (NMAR). As a lifelong learner, she now holds her Charter Financial Consultant Certificate (ChFC) in financial planning with a specialty in retirement for the self-employed. She hopes to use this expertise to help real estate professionals and others who are self-employed develop a plan and vision as they graduate to the next stage of their lives. Freedman holds multiple other designations in real estate including SRS, SRES, and AHWD and proudly takes more continuing education than is required for her licence each cycle. As a real estate continuing education instructor, Talia has a clear and engaging way of explaining complex concepts and creates a learning environment that encourages participation and deep understanding. Attendees leave her classes with a feeling of confidence. As a mentor and qualifying broker she ensures the Associate Brokers in her company are a part of a supportive community and benefit from her years of experience, insight and expertise in real estate, marketing and more to make as much out of their career as possible.
