About Jeff

Jeff Peterson is a seasoned real estate broker, developer, and business leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning residential sales, commercial transactions, land acquisition, development, construction, and brokerage management. After a successful background in accounting, Jeff launched his real estate career in Las Vegas in 2004 during one of the nation’s most competitive housing booms, quickly distinguishing himself through strong sales performance, leadership, and strategic vision. Throughout his career, Jeff has held leadership and sales roles with prominent homebuilders including Temple Development, American West Homes, and Beazer Homes. As Director of Sales for Temple Development, he oversaw multiple communities and managed high-performing sales teams. Returning to direct sales with American West Homes, Jeff became a top-producing agent, earned multiple sales awards, and made an immediate impact by selling two homes on his first day. Jeff’s success in residential development led to an international executive opportunity with a Singapore-based development firm, where he relocated to Toronto, Canada, as Executive Vice President of Land Acquisitions. In this role, he sourced and negotiated large-scale land acquisitions, built and led a Canadian team, and worked closely with municipal and provincial governments on rezoning, entitlement, infrastructure, and development approvals. Under his leadership, the company acquired 10 projects totaling 1,323 acres and more than 4,000 planned homes. Jeff later spearheaded the company’s expansion into the Dallas–Fort Worth market, securing and entitling three additional projects supporting more than 4,100 homes. Jeff also founded Serene Homes, an innovative homebuilder focused on integrating smart home technology, energy efficiency, and modern design into every property. Working closely with architects and construction teams, he helped create homes designed around functionality, technology, and modern living. Today, Jeff is the Owner and Broker of Excel Real Estate Consultants in Northern Nevada, where he leads a growing team of agents while remaining actively involved in serving buyers and sellers throughout the region. Known for his hands-on approach, market knowledge, negotiation skills, and commitment to client service, Jeff combines executive-level development experience with practical, real-world brokerage expertise to deliver a highly personalized and results-driven experience for his clients.
