Others in the household include dogs Max, a Golden Retriever, Misty, a German Shepard mix, and a beautiful American Shorthair cat, named Olivia. Karen’s career in real estate began in 1978 at Century 21 where she trained and stayed for 3 years, followed by Re/Max for 19 years. Then, following a 4 year company change at Five Star Real Estate, a much needed return to Re/Max, however, this time, as a co-owner of a new office in Forest Hills. During this same time Karen began to develop a dedicated relocation company called West Michigan Relocation, of which Karen is the President and CEO. Plans are already in the works to include service areas in Central Michigan. In what spare time she has, Karen enjoys the sport of crew, supporting the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and is involved with Re/Max International as a contributor to the Childrens Miracle Network, locally through the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. • RECIPIENT G.R.I.
