ruce Irving brings more than 25 years’ experience with houses to his work representing buyers and sellers in Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Medford, and surrounding towns. His background includes 17 years as producer of television’s This Old House, where he earned an Emmy and learned the hallmarks of quality design and construction. His clients benefit from his wisdom and value his ability to clearly discern a property’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as his strong work ethic and sense of humor. Bruce also draws on his expertise and industry contacts in his private consulting practice, helping homeowners achieve success in their home renovations. He writes about architecture and design for several publications and is the author of New England Icons, a book about the region’s built environment. A graduate of Williams College, he lives with his family in Cambridge, where he serves as vice-chairman of the city’s Historical Commission and as a Council member at the Cambridge Historical Society.
