About Joel

Joel specializes in the sale of farms, ranches, native grass, pasture, recreational properties and other rural land throughout the Flint Hills and surrounding areas of Kansas. His approach is built around one simple objective: understand the land, determine its true market potential, and put it in front of the right buyers. Before entering real estate, Joel spent more than a decade working in natural resource management with the Missouri Department of Conservation. After beginning his career in the Forestry and Wildlife divisions, he earned a full-time position in the Forestry Division, where he managed approximately 5,000 acres of public land and worked directly with private landowners on conservation and restoration projects across western Missouri. During that career, Joel gained hands-on experience managing grasslands, prairies, glades, wetlands, savannas, woodlands and forests. That experience gave him an understanding of land that goes far beyond what can be seen on an MLS sheet or aerial map. Joel later joined the Pro Staff of Heartland Bowhunter, a Midwest-based hunting television program, where he traveled throughout the country hunting, filming and producing television with close friends. That experience further developed his knowledge of wildlife, habitat, recreational land and the lifestyle that draws many buyers to rural properties. Today, Joel combines that background with Midwest Land Group's land-focused real estate platform to help landowners maximize the exposure and value of their property.
