About Kat

Kat Barry is a Certified International Property Specialist, National Association of Realtor's GREEN designee, and an honors graduate from the University of Michigan. She has been a top-producing Realtor since 2004. In 2007 Kat started working for the first residential green builder in Pittsburgh and went on to become the sales team leader for two developments as well as a consistent New Construction Sales leader for Prudential Preferred Realty. Throughout the last 10 + years in the real estate business, Kat has worked with investors and small developers as well as traditional first time and luxury buyers and sellers. In recent years she has worked with a large and increasing number of international clients prompting her to earn the CIPS designation from The National Association of Realtors as well as the At Home with Diversity training certification. Kat was a featured real estate expert on two seasons of HGTV's, "My House is Worth What?" has worked as a columnist for Realtor Magazine, and appeared on numerous panels about using technology and social media to sell homes. In 2009 Kat received one of the highest achievements for young Realtors in the business being named one of Realtor Magazine's 30 Under 30 as an industry leader. Kas has also owned a vegan catering company, worked as a weekly lifestyle columnist for Off the Water, and was co-author of The New Chicago Diner Cookbook, Meat Free Recipes from America’s Veggie Diner. Kat is a fluent French speaker who spends her free time practicing yoga, traveling, cooking, reading, and boating on Lake Michigan. She is an Art Institute of Chicago Evening Associate and a member of the Logan Square Preservation Society. Kat’s passion for living a healthy and full lifestyle spills over into her work, putting her energy into maintaining long term relationships and doing the best possible job for her clients. She has built her business on personal relationships and honesty. Kat loves being home in Chicago and exploring all of the vibrant neighborhoods our city has to offer. It’s an exciting time in Chicago real estate and Kat is having a great time being a part of the changing communities in her longtime haunts of Wicker Park, Humboldt Park, Bucktown, and Logan Square. She currently lives in Logan Square with her boyfriend Michael.
