Having grown up in a family that flipped houses for a living, Essence Wakefield began her real estate “career” at a young age. House by house, neighborhood by neighborhood, she developed an eye for design and understanding of the sale process – experience that has proven to be invaluable in her work as a residential broker. Inspired by the satisfaction her parents derived from creating and selling beautiful homes, as well as the happiness they brought to their new owners, Essence strives to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction. Her prior sales experience, along with her work as a personal shopper and makeup artist, helped hone her visual skills, allowing her to find homes that match clients’ expectations both aesthetically and financially. She also prides herself on her ability to maximize value on behalf of sellers, ensuring homes are appropriately priced and marketed in a way that generates the highest level of interest among prospective buyers. A native of Chicago, Essence currently resides in River North. She appreciates the culture and diversity of Chicago’s neighborhoods and frequents the many exhibits, festivals and block parties that make each one unique. In her free time, Essence keeps up with the latest trends in interior design, fashion and the arts, and enjoys traveling to the Caribbean.
