About Carol Y.

Carol was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Pearl City, Hawaii after her father retired from 26 years of service in the U.S. Army. She is a graduate of Pearl City High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After high school, Carol worked as a Legislative Aide to Representative David Y. Ige in the Hawaii State Legislature. Carol has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and built a unique foundation for her career in sales by starting as a paralegal. Working at major local law firms such as Ashford & Wriston, Case & Lynch and Chun, Kerr, Dodd, Beaman & Wong, gave Carol a good foundation of the legal aspects of real estate. Her work focused on drafting documents including deeds, exhibits, mortgages, and leases. Eventually, her work as a paralegal led Carol to pursue a career in real estate. Now, with over 25 years in the real estate industry as a salesperson and real property manager, Carol offers her clients a wealth of experience, including IRSC 1031 exchanges, which she has done personally for herself/family and her clients. Carol’s spouse is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Together, they raised three boys. As a parent, Carol balanced her career with volunteer work. When her children were in elementary school she was a PTO Officer at Moanalua and Pearlridge Elementary. She also volunteered at Aiea High School for various school functions. She coordinated school fundraisers for Moanalua Elementary and Pearlridge Elementary and supported multiple school activities. She volunteered numerous hours as a Boy Scout parent for Moanalua Troop 9, where two of her sons obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Carol has volunteered at Punahou School and loved volunteering to chair various food booths at Carnival. Two of her sons are graduates and attend college. Her youngest son graduated and will be off to college this year. Carol is excited to help her clients pursue their real estate goals and dreams!
