In 2004 my husband and I-- by profession a social worker and an educator-- decided to try our hand at real estate investing. My job was to find the properties-- then David would take charge for the renovations. Finally, I would stage the home and hire an agent to sell it for us. We had a lot of success with our flips, selling most of them within the first two weeks. After a couple of years of this, it occurred to me that if I had a real estate license that I could sell them myself. So I got my license, and I've never looked back. I love every aspect of the real estate profession, from working with first-time buyers to listing and selling a home so that the owners can move on to their next adventure. My background as a DeKalb County teacher for over 30 years gives me a unique perspective, especially when working with families with children. Finally, as a 5th generation Atlantan, I can proudly call myself a true native of this beautiful city.I enjoy hiking and canoeing, researching my family history, and reading great books to discuss with the book club I have been a member of for over 30 years. I have a sweet & funny husband, an ambitious & talkative son, and as of October 2025, a lovely daughter-in-law.
