About Lina Merchan

I am a Professor at Savannah State University. A few years ago, I realized that the rents in Savannah and the surrounding areas had increased so much that some families were paying considerable more for a small apartment than what they would pay if the owned their home. I decided to get my real estate license and joined Northgroup Real Estate. I truly enjoy working with first time homeowners and sharing with them the many down payment programs that can make homeownership accessible for most people renting in apartment complexes. As a mom of 4 teenagers who has had to move multiple times, I also enjoys helping people that are moving to our beautiful city, searching for bigger homes or people that are looking for investment properties. I have a flock of chickens and I grow some veggies. I know the work needed to prepare the land for a garden. I am available to help anyone looking to buy land for a homestead or for nature retreats.
