About Larissa
For Larissa Benson, real estate has always been about more than houses. It is about people, stories, connections, and giving your all to something when you choose to invest your time in it. Larissa has been in real estate since 2003 and has sold more than 2,000 homes. Her experience spans traditional residential sales, REO and bank-owned properties, investments, land, lots, short-term rentals, and complex transactions. After more than two decades in the business, she brings a depth of experience, perspective, and attention to detail to every transaction. A graduate of the University of Georgia Honors Program with a degree in marketing, Larissa especially loves the marketing side of real estate. She believes every home has a story, and great marketing is about discovering what makes a property unique and using words, visuals, emotion, and strategy to connect that story with the right buyer. Larissa began her career with RE/MAX Greater Atlanta and later built a significant REO business representing banks and institutional sellers. In 2011, she opened RE/MAX Legends, which grew into a multi-office brokerage and a home for independent agents and established teams. In February 2026, after 22 years with the RE/MAX brand, Larissa reimagined and rebranded RE/MAX Legends as Legends Real Estate Group, a collective of independent agents and teams that joined Real Broker. Today, Larissa serves as an Associate Broker with Real and leads Legends Real Estate Group, whose agents serve communities throughout Northeast Georgia. Larissa is also a real estate investor and owns rental and short-term rental properties, giving her firsthand perspective on real estate as both an agent and property owner. Community and giving back are important to Larissa. She founded Kid Shop Charity, a registered 501(c)(3) that creates a special back-to-school shopping experience for approximately 100 to 150 children in foster care each year. Larissa and her husband, Drew, have three children and a busy mini farm with pigs, dogs, chickens, and plenty of activity. She enjoys Pilates, cooking, food and wine, hiking, her children's sports, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Her philosophy is simple: “The way you do anything is the way you do everything.” Relationships matter. Details matter. Time is valuable, and if something is worth doing, Larissa believes it is worth giving it your all."
