John has had a long time interest in land and property. He first became a Realtor over 20 years ago for several years before starting his own landscape design and renovation company. Having retired from the landscaping industry in recent years John has returned along with his wife Heather to serve the community as a Realtor and Team Leader of Wilkes Realty Group. John has personally bought, renovated and sold several properties and homes over the years as well as helping many buyers and sellers do the same. John has a keen understanding of home buyer and seller transactions as well as construction, improvements, repairs, renovations and maximizing the most value when buying or selling land and homes. In addition to being a Real Estate Agent and Realtor, John is also a Certified Unmanned Aircraft (Drone) Pilot and incorporates drone photography into his real estate practice. John has experience with community historic downtown development, preservation and mainstreet revitalization projects. John also has a landscape architecture degree from the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design. He has worked with hundreds of homeowners, HOA's, businesses, municipalities and construction crews on landscape design and construction projects from Georgia to Colorado and as far away as Hawaii.
