The Georgia Association of REALTORS (GAR) presented Bert S. Harrington the 2004 President’s Award for his service to the Association in 2004 as the Chair of the Forms Committee that revised the State of Georgia’s Real Estate Sales Contracts and related forms, attachments and exhibits. Bert is an Associate Broker in the Sandy Springs Office of RE/MAX Around Atlanta, returning to Sales after 15 years in Real Estate Brokerage Owner/Management. In 1995 Bert obtained his Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of REALTORS for 10 years membership in the Million Dollar Club and he has continued to maintain that level production now that he is back into sales. Bert has been active in his Local, State & National Associations of REALTORS since 1979 and is currently serving on the CRS Strategic Planning and Membership Development Committees for the Council. Bert graduated from Ga. Tech (’65) and Lettered in Wrestling, was honorably discharged from the Army as a Captain. He was in retail banking for 12 years and is a Certified Real Estate Loan Originator by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (’79). He was REALTOR Associate of the Year (’81) and REALTOR of the Year (’91) for his local residential Board. Bert served as State Regional Vice President (’93-’94), Ga. State CRS President(’99). Bert is married to Betsy (‘69) and both his children are married with granddaughters Sarah Stewart (’07), Caroline (’07), Libby (’04) & Cassidy (‘03), he loves Real Estate sales & enjoys Golf, Fly Fishing & Dancing.
