Raised in Plantation, Florida, Michelle Farber Ross has strong roots among the South Florida Community. Attending grade school at Nova in Davie, FL and college at University of Florida, Ross brings her Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Marketing and years of experience to MMD Realty. After completing her education, Michelle Ross worked as an intern at The Ad Team and went on to become Account Executive of several accounts at Zimmerman The Ad Team Advertising. In 1997, Ross became the Vice President of Marketing of World Interactive Network. While at World Interactive Network, Ross worked with Miami HEAT Head Coach and President, Pat Riley as her national spokesperson and managed all relations, speaking engagements and marketing. After 3 years Ross was hired by Pat and Chris Riley to work personally and for the Miami HEAT. In 2007, Ross entered the real estate market and worked tirelessly to create a network of clients and build her business. She was solely responsible for relocating Garda’s (TSX: GW) North American headquarters from California and procured $1.0 MM in city, county and state grants and tax relief for the company, as well as relocating key personnel to the area. One of her highest accomplishments, while in the real estate industry, was being responsible for the sale of the former Escape hotel located behind the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale beach. Due to her diligent networking, she joined forces with Michael Wekerle and Dan Marino to create MMD Realty. The company has a fresh/new business model in the real estate market, whereby giving up to five percent of company profits to the Dan Marino Foundation. Ross and MMD Realty strive to help the Dan Marino Foundation open doors toward independence by creating awareness and opportunities for the autism and special needs communities.In her spare time, Ross enjoys spending time with her son, Brandon, swimming, bicycle riding and reading and creating stories. She juggles being a mom, networking, managing the brokerage and regularly spinning and doing hot yoga, to keep her centered. She is passionate about The Dan Marino Foundation and the strides they make, as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters. Since her father, Jimmy Farber, a fixture among the South Florida hotel and restaurant scene, passed away in 2008 from complications of leukemia, she has become active in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, hoping to find a cure in the near future.
