About Jean

Like so many residents of Florida, I am transplant from Lake County, Illinois, 40 minutes north of Chicago. I am married with grown children, who still live up north. I chose Venice because I do have family here and the beautiful beaches were calling me! It’s taken a few years to adjust to the 90+ degree summers and humidity but i find the advantages of living on the gulf coast of Florida far outweigh the few months of hot weather. I began my career in real estate in '93 as a residential appraiser but soon decided selling was a better fit. After many years of working several for large corporate companies I got my Broker's License and SOLD independently until relocating to Venice in 2006. After a few years of settling in to my new Florida lifestyle, I got my Florida Broker’s License in 2009 and went back to work. In November of 2013 joined Horizon Realty International that serves Sarasota County having several offices in Venice, Bradenton, Sarasota and Pt. Charlotte. Over the last 20+ years in the business I have pursued several advanced educational designations such as the GRI (Graduate of the Real Estate Institute), the ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) Designation, and a CNE Designation Certificate (Certified Negotiation Expert). In the last year I completed and received my certification as an ASP (Accredited Staging Professional). I believe the more educated a real estate professional is, the better equipped they are to assist their customers in the decisions they make regarding their real estate choices. That's what I hope to do for you!
