Vickie began her real estate career in 1994 with her husband, Mike Joy, and they soon soared to the top 10% for real estate sales in the state of Maine. In 2000 Vickie and her family relocated to central Florida. A longtime dream of hers. She acquired her Brokers license and began an exciting sales career in The Villages retirement community. Here, Vickie put to use her ability to listen intently and match individuals with properties that best suited their needs. She remained in the top 20% of the sales department for eight years. During this time, she realized a need for a specialized property management program. She established Down Home Property Management in 2011 with the help of her daughter, Stacey. The company quickly expanded to a full-service Property Management Company assisting absentee owners with home watch services, long-term rental management and vacation rental management. Her success has been built on a guiding principle and way of life by treating customers like family. In 2018 Vickie made the decision to expand her company once again by adding real estate sales to her services. She shines when it comes to providing excellent customer service and attention to detail. Her experience in the field provides service and expertise that makes each transaction as seamless and successful as possible.
