As a dedicated professional with a distinct passion for real estate, Tracy Leonard focuses on fulfilling the needs of the client. After graduating from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1986, Tracy immediately started on a diverse path in real estate. Employed as an Economic Development Specialist in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Tracy helped to build a model; modern city whose population grew from about 25,000 in 1986, to what is now the third largest city in the State of New Mexico nearing 100,000. Initially, Tracy helped recruit over 40 base employers and 4,000 jobs to Rio Rancho. Tracy helped form the Rio Rancho Economic Development Corporation that created a state-of-the-art relocation team to assist employees relocating to Rio Rancho from other states. Besides providing real estate services to Economic Base employers, Tracy worked in just about every aspect of real estate from planning, zoning and entitlement to construction and sales, including residential, multi-family, office, retail, industrial, restaurants, service stations, hotels and health care. Tom Swisstack, the Mayor of Rio Rancho proclaimed August 25th, 1997 “Tracy Leonard Day” for his dedication to the city. After 11 years in Rio Rancho, Tracy decided to broaden his horizons and delve further into the financial side of real estate and investing. Over the next 15 years, Tracy worked as a Wholesale Account Manager and Financial Advisor with familiar entities such as Countrywide, Merrill Lynch, Silver Hill Financial and Cherry Creek Mortgage. During his tenure at these companies, Tracy not only assisted clients in closing over $100 million in loans and investments, but developed a keen understanding of residential and commercial underwriting, as well as the dynamics of the financial markets. Tracy has held an active real estate broker’s license in New Mexico since 1993 and upon moving to Colorado in 2003, activated his Colorado license. Currently, Tracy is a part of Keller Williams My Home Team and enjoys employing his talents to helping those wanting to buy or sell a home.
