I started my career in real estate in January 1988, beginning with the same broker that I am still with, 26 years later. Under the over view of my managing broker, Greg Zadel, I have gone from an inexperienced 'green' agent to a competent Realtor. I've taken substantial additional training, first to acquire my GRI {Graduate Realtor Institute} certificate. I followed that with my CRS {Certified Residential Specialist} certificate a few years later. Less than 10% of licensed agents nationwide have obtained the CRS designation -- it a culmination of experience and education. We hold ourselves to a high standard of both ethics and performance. I have also completed the SRES {Senior Real Estate Specialist} certificate program, however, due to ill health I did not renew that certification in 2009. I retain the knowledge of the training, just don't 'display the certificate on the wall behind me at the office. My greatest pleasure comes from helping folks with their FIRST TIME purchase of a home. What a terrifying experience this is to some, however, the end result is one of exaltation to realize that they have, in fact, accomplished that dream of American dreams, to own their own home!! At this stage of my career I am now assisting children of former clients with the purchase of their first home - what a joy that is - to know that folks I have worked with in the past have enough confidence from their experience with me to entrust their children or other family members to my hands to help them accomplish their dream. I am adept at both marketing a home so that folks can move on to the next phase of their life [which can include moving 'up' or 'down' in size of home, transferring, disposition of an estate when a parent has passed away, and, all of those occasions in between when people need the help of a reliable and trustworthy professional. OR, buying a home [first time or fourth time]. Sometimes folks just need to know what their home is worth - I can provide them with that information from a Realtor's ViewPoint - with a Comparative Market Analysis -- this is not to be confused with a Licensed Appraiser providing a value of the home for the purpose of ensuring a loan. My evaluation is based upon the current market value of the home were I to attempt to market it at the time of the evaluation. Other times [regularly when the Assessor sends out the new property valuations] folks needs to know - is the County taxing me on the actual worth of the home, or, is their figure inflated from several years ago when property values were higher? Again, I am able to help -- under most conditions I provide these services 'free of charge' with the request that if that party decides to sell the home they at least give me a chance to market the property. In my free time [actually I do find a few hours each day that aren't real estate related] I tend to whatever four legged creature has happened into my care. I have a kennel permit/Use by Special Review which enables me to provide this service. I am now as I age reducing the number of animals I care for as the existing ones pass on - my intent is to give a safe and caring sanctuary for some of these pets that have been either abandoned or neglected - someplace where they KNOW they will hear kind words and be taken care of, no matter their age or condition. I am married [31 years to the same man], have three grown children [2 boys and a girl], I have 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grand-children. I am the middle child of a family of five kids - my father was a rancher in SE Montana in the 1930's-50's. IF you have read this all the way through, you may know more about me that I do!
