About Angela

Angela grabbed the reality of home ownership after attending a Denver high school program for seniors to obtain a Colorado Real Estate license taught by Betty Armbrust, an icon in Denver Real Estate. Angela set her Real Estate career on the back burner and instead moved forward into a business and marketing career. While continuing her education and working, at the age of 19, she was provided an opportunity to purchase her own home in Aurora, Colorado. A few years later, she purchased a turn of the century Victorian near downtown Denver which was divided into several studio and one-bedroom apartments, badly in need of renovation. "This was an experience where I learned not only about human nature" says Angela, "but I also gained an in-depth knowledge of what being an investor/ landlord could involve. I was in way over my head and I guess I was pretty naive. There is a lot more to being an investor than collecting rents".Utilizing this experience and the knowledge gained, plus the strong encouragement of friends, Angela determined to gain further education in such little details as the rate of return and tenant/landlord laws. It was not until 1983 Angela decided that she needed to have her own license if she was to continue her real estate education and career. After obtaining her license she worked in a small office in Wheat Ridge, and later moved to Lakewood location where she further developed her own clientele, but also trained Real Estate agents and co-managed the office. After the office was sold, Angela moved further South into the newer suburbs of Jefferson County becoming an equal partner with 20+ other affluent Broker/Owners in the Southwest Plaza Metro Brokers' Office. "This was one of the best experiences of my life," says Angela." I was literally rubbing elbows with top producing Brokers who shared their advice and excelled in their profession. Interest rates were at an all time high, but yet they were selling. They were the cream of the crop! It was awesome! If you ran into an unfamiliar situation, there was always someone who had been there and done that. Furthermore, they took the time to help look at different options. It was something I cherished and hope I can pay it forward to the Brokers I encounter."Always moving forward, Angela partnered with Bruce Rindahl as owners of Realty Innovations. Angela Burdick is recognized as a Leader in the industry. Angela was the recipient of the 2010 South Metro Denver Realtor Association (SMDRA) Realtor of the Year Serving in many leadership capacities not only for SMDRA but in other real estate related circles as well. In 2002 she was elected as SMDRA Chairman of the Board in 2002, continues to serve on several different committees at the Colorado Association of Realtors State (CAR) level. Her career is further enhanced as a National Real Estate Instructor for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and as a Real Estate Buyers and Accredited Representative and Instructor for the (REBAC) organization. Teaching classes which include Buyer and Seller Representation, Seniors Real Estate Specialist and Generation Buy. Other classes, Angela teaches for Realtors include several of The National Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) Series: Ethics and Professional Standards, Taxation and Investments in Real Estate, Pricing in Real Estate, Sales Contracts, Listing Contracts, Brokerage Realtionships and Risk in Real Estate, Working with Buyers, Working with Sellers, and the Colorado Real Estate Commission Update. Individual Certification class curriculum includes Harnessing the Power, At Home With Diversity and Short Sales and Foreclosures (SFR)Angela received The Littleton City Council Honors as it's Guest Citizen and The Ray Cushman Award from Habitat of Humanity for her volunteer efforts. She also volunteers her time helping people resolve their conflicts through Mediation servicing at the NAR, CAR, DMAR, SMDRA Realtor levels and local county courts in the Metro Denver area.
