About Kathy
Kathy Bass was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Lexington, Kentucky for high school and college before arriving in The Bay Area in 1967. Kathy has a BSN (Nursing) from the University of Kentucky. She held responsible positions at San Francisco General, Ralph K. Davies, and the VA Hospital before making the transition to real estate. She finds the skills from her nursing career very adaptable to real estate since it is another emotional time in the buyer's and seller's lives. Kathy began her real estate career in San Francisco in 1979, however, she quickly shifted to Marin County where she has lived most of her time in The Bay Area. In her eyes, Marin County is the best place to live because it combines all the benefits of big city living so close at hand, but has the small town benefits of all the outdoor activities. She has studied at the College of Marin as well as Golden Gate University to build up her business background since her real estate career began. Kathy has been a valued member and consistent award winner at other companies and is now with the very progressive Bradley Real Estate in downtown Tiburon. Listening, verbally probing and teaching come second nature to Kathy and are invaluable in helping people through the buying/selling process. Kathy has been in the top 1-2% of each office where she has worked. Other activities include reading, hiking, and volunteering for Mt. Tamalpais State Park as a Board Member for the last five years. Kathy is a regular volunteer for the annual Dipsea Race in Mill Valley and a member of the famous Mayor's Garbage Crew at the annual Sausalito Art Festival. The annual outdoor Mountain Theatre Play is another favorite.
