The very least we can do for our vets is to give them a roof over their heads and a nice bed to sleep on. In America, we have the privilege of homeownership only because of their sacrifices. HI I’m J.R. Thrasher with San Diego Veterans! It was in 88’ when I finished with the service. I finally arrived, after a long bumpy bus ride, back to the Mississippi family farm. Like many of my fella brothers and sisters, I had no idea what to do next. Everything in military life is structured. You go to bed at a certain time. You wake up at a certain time. You eat at certain times. Well, when you leave the military that all changes. You don’t have to do anything you don't want to once you are back to living a normal life, but that’s exactly the problem! I was more scared that I was in the service! I recall grabbing a coffee and sitting down wondering what the hell I was supposed to do next. Never lived on my own… Never had my own place… Heck, I didn’t even have a job yet my own place… Look I get it. Sadly enough, many of my brothers and sisters face the same dilemma. Eventually most veterans get a job, but what happens after that? How do you rent a house? How do you buy a house? Are there certain programs built for vets? It is our mission at San Diego Real Estate Veterans to educate, assist, and deploy service specifically for our heroes. As a veteran, I can guarantee you don’t know all of your options. Vets deserve to know all their options when it comes to real estate. I have dedicated the rest of my career to helping my fellow brothers and sisters! Oorah!
