Throughout my career I have always been in roles that showcased my Sales Management skills as well as my ability to teach and instruct. Like many corporate minded businessmen, I was easily consumed with work and meeting other businesses financial goals. After years of making a name for myself in the business world and making other people’s financial goals more important than my own families, I reached a pivotal point in my career. The company that I was with was being sold at the time and I had a choice to make. I could stay with the same way of life, which took time away from my family and brought little joy to the people I was doing business with….or, I could decide to form a new career path that allowed me to help people achieve meaningful goals in their lives, showcase my strong business acumen and be more available to the people that matter the most; my family. Thus, I chose to take my career path into my own hands and become a Full Time Realtor. This career path allows me the opportunity to help people with their financial goals (whether long term or short term) and most importantly, it allows me to help and to be of service to PEOPLE. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many widgets I could sell to a company, I didn’t feel like I helped make a person’s life better. Being a Realtor, I truly get to make people’s lives better. The joy I see when someone buys their first home is a priceless experience that no amount of widgets being sold can replace. The feeling I get when someone calls me and says that I was referred by a friend because of the time and care I put into helping them with their real estate transaction is what makes this career so fulfilling. For my clients, I put together a binder of all of the real estate documents that my clients could potentially see in a transaction well before they see them “live” that way when they do see the purchase contract, HOA Addendum or Solar Addendum etc…they have some familiarity with them. I view myself as someone with an attentive ear, someone who listens to the “needs” of the client and ultimately I am my client’s protector and advocate. If that means taking my clients out of a bad deal that would have provided me a large commission, then that’s what I’ll do. I expect that the relationships I form with clients to be close ones and that will last a lifetime. If anyone understands the importance of family and having a secure place to raise one, it’s me.
