Don Matheson, CRS, GRI, ABR, CLHMS, CDPE, is the founder of The Matheson Team of RE/MAX Fine Properties. Canadian by birth, Don emigrated to the US in 1995. A licensed Realtor since 1976, both in Canada and Scottsdale, AZ, Don’s top priority is to build trusting relationships with his clients. Don and The Matheson Team have ranked in the top 2 RE/MAX real estate teams in Arizona every year between 2010 and 2016. In 2016, the Don and his team handled 117 transactions and over 76 million dollars in sales. Don achieved the RE/MAX Luminary Award in 2016 - given to agents with careers of 20 years or more and over 20 million dollars in real estate commissions earned. There are only 55 active members with this elite distinction. Much of the team’s success is attributed to their pioneering efforts on the Internet and to drive future growth. A true entrepreneur, Don isn’t just in the real estate business; he is reinventing the business of real estate by maximizing the Internet’s potential through his proactive and systematic approach to listings and buyers online. Don and his team generate over 33% of their sales volume from the Internet, second only to the team’s referrals. Don has earned many real estate credentials over the years including Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate REALTOR Institute, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Investor Agent Specialists and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. In addition, Don earned the Certified Distressed Property Expert designation in early 2009. Don is a Board Member for the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. He is also very involved in the Scottsdale community supporting organizations such as Scottsdale Health Care, Susan G Komen, Boys and Girls Club, Family Promise, and his local HOA board. Don is a skilled golfer with a 5 handicap and is an avid reader.
