As a second-generation native of Phoenix, I have seen this city transform from a small town of 970,000 to nearly 5 million in the metropolitan area today. My family roots go back to the late 1940s when anything north of Camelback was a barren desert. My mother was in real estate, and my father was involved in construction and home building—both born and raised in Central Phoenix in the 1950s. I took an interest in finance and real estate at a young age, and today, I am a licensed real estate professional and a licensed contractor.
