Raised in New Jersey Cheryl met her husband Dr. Luis Fernandez and they have three sons who attended the Prescott Public Schools. They transitioned to Prescott in 2009 and immediately fell in love with Arizona and the hometown feel of Prescott. They have integrated into the community in every aspect. Cheryl loves to golf, hike, work out, and spend time with her family at local restaurants and sporting events. Cheryl dedicates extensive time to volunteering in the Community. As a volunteer and member of The Club at Prescott Lakes she worked to help establish a junior golf program, served on the Board of Governors for two years and was a member of the social committee for four years. Cheryl has served over 12 years on the Board of Directors for Estancia De Prescott HOA. She has been an active advocate for our public schools and has earned a strong reputation for her commitment, dedication and knowledge of the schools and the community. Cheryl is proud to be one of the five founding board members of the Prescott Unified School District Education Foundation. Other charities she supports locally are No More Hungry Kids, Free Wheelchair Mission, Habitat for Humanity along with The PUSD Education Foundation.
